Applique - Wing it Birds
Delightful bird applique placemats (13” x 18”) with free motion outline stitching.
Pattern includes three bird sizes, branch options with leaves and a nest. Many combinations for customizations.
Just in time for Summer!
As well, you learn about thread sketching for detail work and embellishing.
You may not finish your placemat in class, but you will get a great start on your project if not!
Techniques we will be going over in class:
- Using stabilizers
- Decorative stitches for securing
- Decorative threads for embellishing
- Echo Quilting & free motion sketching/quilting
Supplies (not included) -- list will be given upon registration
We will have a small bin of fabric scraps or the tiny bits needed on the birds if you need!
Please bring a lunch
It is recommended that you bring your own machine, and you will need a free motion foot and an open toe foot. We have limited feet available to use of these specialty feet.
