Collage Workshop (Mini Retreat)

Join us for an inspiring, two-day workshop where traditional quilting meets free-form art. This weekend is all about breaking the rules, playing with color, and bringing your most creative designs to life.

We will have the Rainboots & flamingo pattern available if anyone would like to use that.

Event Details:

• Duration: 2 Days of hands-on instruction and dedicated sewing time.

• Food & Refreshments: Complimentary snacks and hot & cold drinks available throughout both days to Fuel your creativity!

Grab your favorite fabric scraps, bring your imagination, and get ready to create something truly spectacular! As a bonus, we will have a bin of scraps to delve into.

Please bring a lunch as we will pause to eat and then get right back to it

What you will need to bring:

• Pattern: I.e Laura Heine or other collage patterns. Or a full drawing / copy of your design that you wish to create

• Background fabric/fabrics if piecing which is fun” This will depend on how big your collage is. You may need up to 1m of fabric.

• Batting - same size as backing, which will be the finished size of your project. 

• 1 m of pattern ease for tracing your pattern

• Muslin or old fabric is perfect to back the wall hanging as you will never see it. (if you want to create your design on scrap fabric first. Approx 1m. 

• Parchment paper

• Glue stick ( we recommend 505 glue stick)

• Fusible web such as wonder under, Steam A Seam, or others. 1/2  m

• Small sharp scissors

• tweezers

* Common size is approx 17” x 20” or slightly larger.

We will also have wonderful curated scrap bags (by colour) for sale leading up to the class, in case you are needing more variety!
