Mola Rug Class with Al Cote
Using 3-5 assorted fabrics, you will learn how to layer and applique using the Mola applique technique. From there, Al will walk you through quilting all of the layers together.
You will walk away with a one of a kind quilted rug!
Please bring along a lunch.
Al Cote is a talented fiber artist who has travelled across Canada and the US teaching workshops.
Supplies you will need to bring
- 3-5 assorted fabrics - Each fabric should be 1/2 m X wof - Choose colours you like!
- Backing (muslin works well)
- Batting ( stay away from “puffy “ batting)
- Sewing machine
- Walking foot
- Pencil and paper (at least three sheets)
- Threads (ecru or grey work well)
- Scissors (very sharp smaller size)
- Rotary cutter
